| Building a new Team - Recap Taken from Harbinger's personal files.Date: 21 May 2011 Subject: Recruitment Class 1 - 2011 Note: Very few survivors this year of supernatural contact; even counting the tripling in this years number of documented encounters. This has some of us in the business worried, not sure if really means anything or if it is just a reflection of over population in either the supernatural community or human. Bares some watching.Body:We have reached the final week of this batch of recruits training. I have high hopes for the individuals that have made it thus far. I believe we may have a solid group of hunters coming out of this. I do have some reservations about their ability to form a cohesive team. Most of them seem to prefer working on their own. This is going to cause a problem for their team leader, who ever that is. speaking of which I think it is finally time for me to step away from leading a actual team. I think I will give Pitts his chance and give him command of a team made of these new recruits. Will let me focus on running the company for a change and give me a excuse to get Julia out of the line of fire for a while. I would like to mention a few keep points here here before I close this report: 1. Noticed some oddity about the Doctor Phontain. Originally hoped to hire him on as a resident medical professional, but it seems he may be more suited for field work. He might be slightly bumbling and slow to react at times but he seems quite mental resilient and flexible to the possibilities of the supernatural. 2. The Rabbi, I expected more out of him as a former Israeli Mossad, but it seems he wish to be more holy man then warrior but maybe that is for the best every team needs one solid soul in it. 3. Elizabeth “Lizzy” Masters and Samuel “Tank” Anderson are both on my watch list. They both seem to be loss cannons and have a tendency to blast first and ask questions later. Were this has it's place it can get a inexperienced group killed. 4. Kim “Kicks” Ito; she has a odd smell to her, it raises the hair on the back of neck. I am worried that her lack of shared culture may cause her issues settling in as well. 5. My final observation is on Penny “Money-Penny” Kinkaid; the new engineer. A solid engineer but some off her designs look like they are out of Milo's diary. Will have to be careful letting those to work together I might end up with a thermo-nuclear bong! This concludes this weeks report on current training operations.

After action report summary of Mirdouix Brief:
A emergency request for assistance received from the French Government to inspect a French cargo ship off United States coast line. All communications lost with ship but not before the first mate was able to report missing crew and that one of the crew members had "risen from the dead" and "eaten" the ships doctor. French team was deployed but radio comms. lost with them 30 mins into mission.
With no other team on site seemed a perfect opportunity to send out the new team out to investigate. Team inserted by air and by boat. Team lead by myself and Viktor Pitts. Mission was a A-1 cluster fuck! but there was no casualties on our side so it was a win! One death cult with larger container ship (the Mirdouix) of undead blown into a fire ball of fleashie chunks and sank to the bottom of the sea. French Government was not happy about the lost of their team or ship but they paid off on the contract.
Team Performance: New team preform at expected standards. If possible further team building training needed. Overall Mission Status: Success
Personal Note: This team is a miss match bunch of lone wolfs that are going to ket themselves killed if they don't start thinking tactical as a team.

After action report summary of Mexico Chupacabra Brief:
Mission Objective:Viktor Pitts team deployed to remove a infestation of Chupacabra and capture of juvenile specimen.
Summary: This mission was miss managed, poorly executed and a total nightmare. The main mission objectives were completed. But the team managed to loss their team leader during the first contact with the enemy to friendly fire. As this was Viktor Pitts (Meta human) his "death" was reversible. Instead of carrying on mission and completing the objectives the team spend a considerable amount of time in a hostile none secured area trying to revive their leader. The blame for this is easy to place. I knew they were green and had a green leader. Pitts is a experienced hunter, but this was his first solo lead. I should have ensured a clear chain command before they were placed in a operation.
After Pitts Lazarus bit they continued on mission and encountered a ancient Mayan or Incann temple, No identification was possible as they leveled it with a larger black of C-4. This temple was being used as a base of operation for what I believe to be a Necromancer who was involved in some form of Chupacabra breeding experiments. They managed to kill the Necromancer, destroy the temple, and the Chupacabra but in doing so they allowed their team leader to be "killed" once again and one of their number to die; Martian Kohl. This was compounded further with Kohl Resurrection as a Vampire and feeling on the necromancer (this is the official cause of the Necromancer's Death). They called for emergency evacuation. Martin Kohl was evacuated with the rest even in his new current undead state. Upon arrival back at the compound he was unable to approach the holy ground and made his escape taking with him two US Military personnel by turning to mist and dragging them off. Both individuals are considered K.I.A. and have been listed as possible Vampires.
The Mexican government paid off as did the resort minus the massive damage caused to the resort by the team.
Team Performance:Extremely poor. Remedial training has been ordered. Overall Mission Status: Failure, mission exceeded acceptable losses of life and materials.
Personal Note: This mission will go down as a example of how not to do things in the I.B.P.H. training manuals.

| Taken from Harbinger's personal files. Date: 19 June 2011 Subject: Recruitment Class 1 - 2011 -- First Operational Mission (Supplemental)
New Additional Information:
Point 1: Necromancer's body never found on location. Considered still alive and operation. Now possible risen Vampire.
Point 2: Team has started a civil war between the Thundering Howl Orcs. Igor Phontain was proclaimed as their King for approximately 24 hours till this title was passed over to "Eddie". Eddie has claimed his 'birth right' the big stone hammer that his father asked me to look after before he died in the black forest. He appears to be changing now. None of the others have noticed yet. We will see what happens. Just glad it was him and not Skippy. Skippy could be a real big pain in the ass. Well Just would like to see him with that much power would have been something aweful if I had been force to pop his head off.
Point 3: Viktor Pitts recended from duty due to injuries. No E.T.A. on return to active duty. Ethan Feldman placed as interm team leader until further notice.
Personal Note: #1: Maybe I should just fire the lot of them!!! #2: Inform Milo that he will to in most likelyhood have to reactivate the Main building A/C, as well recharge the Defac's Refrig and freeze. They ice block holding the Grest Stone Fist of Thundering Howl was not melting yet. No idea if the ice will melt now the hammer is no longer within it. No way of knowning till it does.

They discovered mass burial site under the house in the root cellar and were able to recover for proper burial 65 corpses. Samuel Anderson discovered a grave which he decided was the resting place of the hostile entities corpse. He dug up the earthly remains; salted and burned them. The team and everyone else thus far has reported no further encounters with any hostile entities in the house.
Team Performance: With in norms for a operational team and far above this teams normal level of competences.

I have a compund full over Orcs. They are taking up my entire parking lot. I told Igor that he had to get the out of the parking lot. They are currently relocating themselves to the site of the old Orc village.
We also had a visit from the Monster Control Feds. They order the halt of all Orc migration to the facility, which I really don't mind. But they are trying to deport some of my people which I won't let stand. As well the served us with cease and desist orders for the operation of the brotherhood. Our Lawyer Mike is taking care of these at the moment. But I was forced to call Julia back from baby sitting her Senator friend that is being stalked by a unknown entity and a team hunting a Wendigo near Camp David. Let's see Meyers explain that on to his bosses.
((This is the end of this chapter. The next Chapter: Warbringer begins.)) | |
